In January 06 Hakuba a blue roan Appy came into my life ,with in a few short weeks I realized I was going to need help with him . He was fearful and non- trusting and I knew I needed a way to communicate with him from his perspective. As time went on, my wish for him was to have some inner peace.

So I started to search for a person that would respect who he was at the time, help him achieve some inner peace ,build his confidence and help me to understand him so we could eventually have a foundation of trust.

A year later I found Nancy's web site and had the opportunity to meet her a few weeks later at the Niagara Horse Fair and Expo in Lockport , NY. When I spoke with her about Hakuba, I knew that she would allow him to heal in his own time in a caring and supportive way. Over the next few months we stayed in touch and in Aug 07 I asked Nancy if she would do some under saddle work with Haukba,she agreed and I brought him to her niece's farm in Lockport for 6 weeks.

When I went to visit him 4 weeks later the changes that occurred for Hakuba where amazing, He was friendly and curious about people, was comfortable being ridden indoors and outside . He was still fearful at times and this is when Nancy's understanding and ability to stay in the moment and hold the space for him allowed him to work thru the fear and choose what he should do . His choice was to go thru the fear and continue working . The insight that I gained by watching Nancy work with him was a light bulb moment for me. Now is was my time to become the student and for the next week I worked with Nancy as she taught me the importance of staying present , holding the space and giving him the chance to choose the correct response. He responded with right choices ! I now had an understanding of him and a way to build a foundation of trust between us.

My wish for Hakuba was for him to heal and find peace. Nancy was able to help him heal and find that peace with her incredible wisdom about the soul of the horse. Hakuba and I are very happy to have worked with Nancy and can't thank her enough!

Nancy, This is just a little note to say thank you for helping me get more in touch with my intuition and connection with animals. For many years I've been seeking clarity and confidence. Experiencing a workshop with you has helped me accomplish this. You have not only helped me have a deeper communication and connection with my own animals but learning techniques to solve problems has decreased my fear and frustration in working with problem horses. I have learned when I really listen and respect the animal that they will listen and respect me at the same time and we both have more patience with each another. I feel a deeper oneness with all of nature. I'm glad to have met you.

Nancy has worked with all of my animals with great success: dogs, cats and horses. She has provided me with insights that have helped me to create a happy and healthy household for my entire farm. For example, in January of 2005 Nancy began helping me with my show horse, a Dutch Warm blood who has always been willful. At the time that we began our work, I had taken lessons with a woman who bullied horses. As a result of that year in training with her, I could barely get him to walk forward off of my leg -- this was a horse that had won regionals at training level dressage just two years prior. Nancy helped me to re-connect with my horse and to understand why he was so spooky and unwilling to work. It was a long road to bring him back, and I could never have done it without her. Just a year later, I started him with a jumping trainer who Nancy recommended. He is now happy to do his job, spook-free, and he has won every jumping class he's entered this summer. Nancy has also assisted me with my younger Dutch Warm blood who sustained a serious injury prior to him coming to my farm. Again, she used her talents to understand when he was feeling pain or when he was able to work and needed additional challenges. In just six months of work, he was ready to move on to professional training and is now in Philadelphia with a FEI rider, going soundly and doing his job extremely well.

Nancy is very sensitive; she has an uncanny ability to ask the right questions, to provoke thought, and to understand and assess the situation. She is instrumental in my own riding success, and I highly recommend her to anyone who needs assistance in their own life or that of their animal friends.

I learned about Nancy Proulx’s skill as an Intuitive from a friend, Elise Able, who was very impressed with the information Nancy had conveyed to her about some of Elise’s rescue dogs.

I have found her very easy to communicate with…via phone and via email. She is down to earth and makes one feel very comfortable. During our approximately one hour session, I was continually amazed at tidbits of information she mentioned, about which she could have had no prior knowledge.

My primary concern was for my 6 ½ year-old Great Pyrenees, Sophia. She has undergone numerous tests and x-rays but the source of her problem had not yet been determined. Nancy feels it stems from a lack of energy. She was able to mention several things about Sophia’s time in the womb and life that could have contributed to her breathiness when climbing stairs etc. and these things had, indeed, occurred.

Nancy suggested acupuncture, and possibly some herbs and tonics, all of which can be obtained from a holistic veterinarian we both know, and she has said she will discuss her findings about Sophia with this veterinarian prior to the appointment Sophia now has. This “going the extra mile” will be very helpful and is very much appreciated.

It is obvious to me that Nancy has a very special gift, one that has enabled her to assist many animals…and possibly some people…to achieve a better quality of life.

I contacted Nancy in early October 05 to inquire on her services for one of my 3 month old kittens named Josephine. Josephine was experiencing a litter box problem. Where she was starting to urinate on the sheet under the box instead of the litter box.

Nancy was able to determine that Josephine found me to be somewhat of a “neat freak” since I was always vacuuming around the litter box and cleaning it out as soon as they went in it. Nancy surmised through her skill that Josephine was not able to leave her scent in the box so she was trying somewhere else. The cat was only trying to please me.

Within a few days the problem seemed to be correcting itself. I have pulled back from the obsessive cleaning and with Nancy help have learned to understand my kittens needs.
